Google Home vs Alexa: which ecosystem fits a UAE household better?

Neither Google Home nor Alexa is clearly better for a UAE household, both control lights, plugs, locks, and thermostats reasonably well today, so the deciding factor should be which ecosystem you already use daily, Android and Google services, or Amazon devices, since that tends to feel more integrated than a small feature difference on paper.

Device compatibility in the UAE

Both Google Assistant and Alexa support Arabic voice recognition, worth confirming is enabled during setup if that's important to your household, since it's not always the default depending on region and device settings.

Multi-room and multi-device households

For larger households with several rooms and family members using different apps or phones day to day, sticking with a single ecosystem across every room and device matters more than which specific ecosystem you choose, mixing both in the same home creates more app-juggling and inconsistent voice command behavior than either ecosystem's individual limitations would.

Switching later is possible but genuinely annoying
